Happy New Year!
For 2022, I am working on a new book – and I would love your input.
The general topic is the first step of my FAST Innovation Model.
FAST stands for Focus, Ask, Shift, Test.
Invisible Solutions® covered the “Ask” topic in depth.
This next book is a prequel to Invisible Solutions and addresses the “Focus” portion of the model. One of the key principles is “Innovate Where You Differentiate.”
The book will go into depth on the topic of differentiation and how to use this to drive investment prioritization. I will drip more content about the book in the near future.
But for now, here’s what I need from you:
- Stories: If you have a good story from your organization about a time when you “doubled down” on something important to the organization, I would love to hear it. Instead of constantly changing direction, you prioritized what mattered most and made large investments there. If you need more information on the topic, contact me and I am happy to provide it privately.
- Content Reviewers: I am early in the process right now, so it is too early for beta readers. Instead I am looking for people who can provide input on the concepts. I would talk you through the frameworks and philosophy on a brief phone call. You can then tell me if it sounds interesting. I am looking to make sure that I am a) solving an important problem for organizations, b) that the concepts truly address your needs, c) that it would make for a good book and you would want to read it.
- Beta Readers: Later in the process, after I have a first rough draft of the entire book, I would love people to take the time to actually read the book. I’m not looking for grammatical issues or spelling errors. I am looking for input at a macro level. What concepts resonate with you? Where did you get bored? What will you do differently after reading the book? I don’t have a timeframe yet for beta readers, but if this is of interest to you, let me know and I’ll add you to the list.
If you are able to help with any of the above, please CONTACT ME.
NOTE: For #2 and #3, I am primarily looking for people who would be my target audience: employees (ideally executives) of mid- to large-sized organizations. Especially those involved with innovation, strategy, or some other decision making role.
Thank you in advance for your help!
