Mindmap of the PIVOTAL Table of Contents

What does it mean to be pivotal?

The Oxford English Dictionary defines it as “Of crucial importance in relation to the development or success of something else.”

The Cambridge Dictionary says it is “Important because other things depend on it.”

From my perspective, it is about going deeper with customers to add more value in a way that makes you essential to them.

When you do this, you become irreplaceable.

In this post, I share a mindmap version of the book’s table of contents.

In it, you will see that the keys to being pivotal are to be: distinctive, desirable, durable, dynamic, and disseminated.

And when you are clear on these aspects, you then want to innovate where you differentiate.
